Annual Exhibition of the Roche Art Group - October 2013
"Keep it in the Family"
Once again the Group was delighted to invite Year 6 of St Teresa’s Primary School to take part in a drawing competition with the theme of “My Dream”. An encouraging number of very good entries were received with an excellent chosen as the winning entry as well as 8 other paintings awarded as “highly commended”. All entries received a critique by a qualified primary school teacher with a keen interest in art.
This year's competition was won by Annabel O'Connell, younger sister of Erin O'Connell who was the winner in 2012! We were completely unaware of this conjunction until the two girls visited the Exhibition together with their parents. A talented family.

Best in Show
This year it was decided to ask visitors to vote for their favourite painting and it was noticeable that visitors took more time to view the exhibits, going round at least twice to have a good look! Our best in show painting is: "Teamed Up" by Andrea Sinclair.
In fact, Andrea scooped the most votes for 3 of her exhibits. A wonderful achievement but testimony to a very good artist.
